Work-Based-Learning

Overview

Work-based-learning offers an approach to learning that integrates the work and learning environment, offering opportunities for learning to be contextualised and put into action, with clear benefit and value for employers and learners alike.

This masterclass will explore delegate conceptions of work-based-learning and its relevance to contemporary procurement workplace settings. Through an active, live case-study presentation, key players in the work-based-learning process (employer, participant, instructor) will be identified, and through an investigative process delegates will have the opportunity to construct understandings of the role played by each as well as their expectations and limitations within the process. In the afternoon session delegates will be supported in exploring how work-based-learning approaches can effectively be applied to their own context and evaluating factors necessary to ensure maximum benefit and value can be achieved for all involved.
