Practice Workshops

Practice workshops are 1-day interactive workshops where the primary objective is to acquire new knowledge that can be applied to the learner's work practice. Practice workshops are delivered using a work-based-learning methodology engaging the participants in time-concise learning and applied exercises allowing the participants to apply acquired knowledge to their work practice. However, there is no assessment, nor applied project, and therefore there is no accreditation nor qualification associated with practice workshops..

Each workshop comprises 5-7 hours of classroom based learning that can be utilised immediately within the workplace and also counts towards the learner’s commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

In most cases, there will be 1-4 hours of preparatory work prior to participating in the workshop. This will comprise reading material on The Academy online Moodle platform, participating in discussion forums, watching video content etc. So, in total the practice workshops count as 6-11 hours CPD.

Full details on individual workshop topics, dates and cost can be found within the flyer below.
